Description

Moftrex Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used to treat bacterial eye infections. It helps in relieving pain, itching, discomfort, pain, and irritation caused by the infection. It also relieves redness and swelling of the eyes. Moftrex Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. Introduction

In Treatment of Bacterial eye infections Moftrex Eye Drop is used to treat bacterial infection of the eyes such as conjunctivitis or pink eye. It stops the growth of bacteria causing infection and helps relieve pain, swelling, redness, itching or irritation in the eyes. Use it 2-3 times a day for atleast a week or as prescribed by the doctor. Your symptoms might improve after using Moftrex Eye Drop. However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

Benefits

Moftrex Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Moxifloxacin, and Prednisolone. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort in the eyes. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic which prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. This kills the bacteria that cause eye infection. Prednisolone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation and make the eyes red, swollen and itchy.

How to use

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
