This medicine works by decreasing the production of certain chemicals that cause pain and swelling around the eyes. Ketogate Eye Drop also helps prevent infection after eye surgery. You might need to use Ketogate Eye Drop twice a day for at least 14 days after surgery or use it as prescribed to get the most benefit.
Benefits
Ketogate Eye Drop is a combination of two medicines: Gatifloxacin and Ketorolac which treat infections. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
How to use
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
