It is effective in infections of the lungs( eg. pneumonia), ear, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, blood and heart. It is also used to prevent infections during surgery. Stercef 200mg Tablet fights and stops the growth of many types of bacteria. This helps to improve your symptoms and cure the underlying infection. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. You should use this medicine regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. The most common side effects of this medicine include diarrhea, rash, changes in liver function tests, and decreased blood cells. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby. - Breast feeding : CAUTION - Stercef 200mg Tablet should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body. - Driving : UNSAFE - Stercef 200mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Stercef 200mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Stercef 200mg Tablet is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. - Liver : CAUTION - Stercef 200mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Stercef 200mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Dose adjustment of Stercef 200mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
