Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat Parkinson’s disease. It is one of the most effective medications to relives symptoms of Parkinson’s disease such as tremors, muscle stiffness, and difficulty moving. Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet can be taken without food but it is better to avoid a high protein diet and dairy products while taking this medicine. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and try to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not stop taking medicine until told by your doctor as it can cause harmful effects. This medicine may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dryness in the mouth, constipation, and headache. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when you change positions, so it's better to rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa which treats Parkinsonism. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.

How to use

Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels. - Driving : UNSAFE - Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. As Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive. - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Sinemet 250mg/25mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients.
