Piprapen 1gm Injection is an antibiotic medicine used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It is also used before certain surgeries to prevent bacterial infections. Piprapen 1gm Injection is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It should be used regularly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening. The most common side effects of Piprapen 1gm Injection include allergic reaction, and injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness). Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. - Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Piprapen 1gm Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. - Driving : SAFE - Piprapen 1gm Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive. - Kidney : CAUTION - Piprapen 1gm Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Piprapen 1gm Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Piprapen 1gm Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease.
