It is recommended for all infants and children up to age 18 years and adults in high-risk groups. This medicine does not work if you already have hepatitis B.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies. - Breast feeding : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Hepashield 20mcg Injection is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. - Driving : SAFE - Hepashield 20mcg Injection does not usually affect your ability to drive. - Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Hepashield 20mcg Injection is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Hepashield 20mcg Injection is recommended. However, please inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. - Liver : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Hepashield 20mcg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Hepashield 20mcg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
