Description

Optihist Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used to treat allergic diseases of the eye. It relieves redness and swelling of the eye and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort. Optihist Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Optihist Eye Drop is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Naphazoline, Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate and Boric Acid. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Naphazoline is a decongestant which narrows the blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling). Zinc sulphate monohydrate and boric acid are antiseptics which treat bacterial infection in the eyes and relieve irritation.

How to use

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
