Description

Optihist Plus Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of allergic eye diseases. You can use Optihist Plus Eye Drop 2-3 times a day or as prescribed by the doctor. If you see no improvement even after a week, consult your doctor. Apart from using eye drops, it is advisable to wash your eyes with luke warm water to reduce discomfort.

Benefits

Optihist Plus Eye Drop is a combination of four medicines: Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Sodium Chloride, Boric Acid and Tetrahydrozoline which relieve eye itching/discomfort caused by allergies. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, teary eyes. Sodium chloride is a purified salt solution which works by drawing out water from swollen cornea. Boric acid is an antiseptic which treats bacterial infection in the eyes and relieves irritation. Tetrahydrozoline is a decongestant which narrows the blood vessels of the eye to relieve inflammation (redness and swelling).

How to use

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
