In Treatment of Bacterial infections Tixi OF Dry Syrup is a combination of two different antibiotics that work together, in different ways, to treat various bacterial infections. Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacteria and kills them. Ofloxacin prevents multiplication and repair of infection causing bacteria and prevents further spread of the infection. This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

How to use

Tixi OF Dry Syrup contains two antibiotics. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) while ofloxacin directly interacts with the genetic material of bacteria. As a consequence, the infection-causing bacteria stop growing further and the spread of the infection is successfully arrested.

Safety Advice

- Kidney : SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tixi OF Dry Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tixi OF Dry Syrup is recommended. However, consult with your child’s doctor before giving Tixi OF Dry Syrup to your child in case of a severe form of liver disease. - Liver : CAUTION - Tixi OF Dry Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tixi OF Dry Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
