Sinomet Nasal Spray

Description

Sinomet Nasal Spray is a combination medicine used in the treatment of nasal congestion. It treats congestion associated with allergies, hay fever, sinus irritation and common cold. It also reduces the dryness or irritation in the nose and provides a soothing effect. Sinomet Nasal Spray should be used as you have been advised by your doctor. Do not use it more often or for longer than recommended. Normally you should blow your nose gently before using it, keep one nostril closed while applying the medicine into the other and then sniff hard to make sure it reaches deep into the nose. Then repeat for the other nostril. It provides relief very quickly and can last for several hours. The most common side effects are nasal discomfort, nasal irritation, sneezing, and dry nose. These are usually mild but if they bother you or do not go away, your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing them. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Sinomet Nasal Spray contains a moisturizing agent that gives relief from dryness in the nose. It should be used as prescribed and should not be taken for more than seven days in a row (preferably less). It is advisable to talk to your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after taking Sinomet Nasal Spray. Regular steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus can give you relief from a blocked nose.

Benefits

Tilt your head as far back as possible and hold the dropper close to the nose without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine in the nose. Bend your head forward for a few minutes.

How to use

Sinomet Nasal Spray is a combination of two medicines: Xylometazoline and Sorbitol. Xylometazoline is a nasal decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels, providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Sorbitol is a moisturizing ingredient which reduces the symptoms of dryness and irritation in the nose, providing a soothing effect.
